Here is a flower I made after watching a You Tube video. It took a lot of glue but I think it turned out pretty good. First I took a piece of patterned paper and cut it into two strips approximately 3" x 12". Accordion fold both strips and glue them together to make one long strip, then shape the very long piece into a circle and glue a paper to the bottom. That sounds easy enough... No! I decided to use Elmer's white glue so it was wet and sticky and i couldn't get the circle shape to hold in one place long enough to dry. Eventually though it did dry and i could work on the button center. I needed a fairly large button to cover the gap but the only one I had was a light blue one. it looked okay being blue but i wanted to bring out the green in the paper. I decided to use Citrus alcohol ink to change the colour. I really like the splotchy look the ink gave.
That's gorgeous! Thanks for the great tips, especially about the glue. :)
