Mini Chocolate Box
#3
I painted the lid of the box with a thick coat of white paint then over dried it with a heat gun so it bubbled up and created a bit of texture. I then used a sponge to dab on two shades of green paint. I mixed some perfect pearls with water then painted it on the top to add some shine. I sprayed the flowers with a mixture of bronze perfect pearls, walnut stain distress ink and water. I used green coloured dew drops for the centers.
I kept the bottom simple or it wouldn't close. I just wrapped the base with some paper and used the same mixture I used on the flowers to distress it.

The 2011 Project
So it's been almost a year since I started this blog and I haven't really been posting much. I always say I'll try to post more but I've never really followed through with it. With it being the 1st day of 2011 I have decided that my new year's resolution is to post every single day. Will see how this works out....
Post #1: For Christmas I got Perfect Pearls and I made this tag above. I was just fooling around so I'm not really sure what I did but it sure is sparkly.
In real like this flower looks almost like metal, it's pretty cool.
This little butterfly charm was given to me by a friend. It was just silver before but I added some ink and made it look a bit distressed. On the background I mixed perfect pearls with water and painted on some shimmery doodles. when the water mixed with the distress inked background it did some pretty cool things.
... There, that wasn't so hard just 364 posts to go.

No Time For Anything In November
So it's November and for some people this is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) If you don't know what it is you can google it. Anyway I'm kind of doing this but not really, I explain this more on my latest video on sawthatday youtube channel. www.youtube.com/user/sawthatday I'm Friday if you didn't see my last post. Anyway I don't have a have a lot of time for crafting. I did this little project in late October but I'm only getting around to sharing it now but better late than never. Here's how to do it.
Card stock (i used white)
Distress inks (I used vintage photo and broken china)
Clear embossing powder
Heat gun
Chip board
Acrylic block
(Optional) Stamp
Here's a close up
It should looks something like this but can use any colour and apply the ink in any way you want.
Step three: On a piece of card stock the same size as your block press the block down to apply the ink.

SORRY
So sometime in June/July I made a scrapbook album for my grandmother.
Then I made a very large model from a song. (see last post)
Then I started school.
Then I started up a vlogging YouTube channel (see http://www.youtube.com/user/sawthatday I'm Friday)
Then I made a bunch of small crafts (none all that interesting to share on a blog)
And through all of this I never cleaned up the craft corner once.
The moral of this story is it's really hard to craft when your table is half a foot deep in things you did five months ago.
So now that we have the "excuse" out of the way, above is a picture of a card I made once I cleaned up. Nothing too special but when you haven't really done anything in a long time it can be impressive.
To make the greenish blueish piece I squirted some alcohol ink on a craft sheet as I smooshed a piece of glossy card stock into it. Yes it is very simple. Then I stamped the tree and the "with love" in black Stazon. Then I just folded some pink card stock, rounded the corners, tied on some ribbon, put on the green piece and called it done.
I have some posts planned already so hopefully I can get in the trend of posting regularly.
